Wow. The Dark Knight is the first movie in recent memory where the audience around me legitimately hated the villain and was rooting for the hero. How totally rare. Applause actually broke out whenever Batman finally, FINALLY silenced the Joker with his fists.

Much praise has been leveled on Heath Ledger's Joker leading up to the release, and the hype was certainly justified... This Joker oozes evil from the first frame. Apart from the rare joke (Y'wanna see a magic trick?) there's not much to like about the guy. He sucker-punches the audience for two hours, outsmarting the good guys at every turn.

So which member of the Rouge's Gallery do you want to see in Batman 3? I'm personally hoping they give another shot at the Victor Fries story... and that Arnold gets a restraining order from the set if they do.

Aw really, MSPaint? There's plenty other powerful art programs out there. Photoshop if you can get it, or grab one of these for free:

So is it hand drawn and scanned, or are you drawing with the mouse? I'd recommend sticking with pen and paper if possible.

Thanks, my webcomic is inspired partly by BreakPointCity,

the main character (Blake Riptide) gets sent to the future, non-intentionally, by a Plastic sword he buys for a Fancy Dress Party. he meets people, they do stuff. yeah

i have a handful of random humour that i may use in it, just stuff i have doodled or thought of and decided to use. one of these is that Blake finds that everyone in the future has a nemesis designated to them, and he gets a mad professor with a moustache that thinks its a dog... another is that the Plastic sword isnt actually plastic, but It wanted blake to believe it was so he would buy it and get sent to the future...

Sounds cool. Don't give anymore joke or plot spoilers though. I wanna read and chuckle at the strips in surprise when it comes out. Hope it's all coming along well.

Forgive me, if I've gone off this thread's original topic. I tend to do it too often

i think we have kinda gone off topic... my fault, sorry!

but yeah, the comic is barely started, what with summer work to do for college, and my job, and that im also working on my first animated cartoon using MSPaint and WMM. (i have used WMM to make movies using photos of lego men before, but never done all images myself hand drawn on a pc)(ah, memories of lego lightsaber fights and temple exploring guys that fall down holes... if i can find my old vid's i will upload them onto youtube to show you guys)

Awesome! It's been a few years since I last watched the show, but I remember being more into the science than the snarky comments from the announcers. Comedy Central seemed like the wrong channel for the show, but I don't know if ESPN will be any better.

Sounds like they're headed in the right direction, though. Keep it focused on the fights and backstage rebuilds, not the driver back stories or Carmen Electra. And I think I read that they've finally outlawed wedge-shaped robots, which became really ubiquitous toward the end of the Comedy Central run.

I know there are some battlebots fans around here, so I thought people would be interested. The event is currently scheduled for mid November, and it will be covered by ESPN2 and ESPNU. Apparently, the deal is for a show of college-based teams, though Battlebots will host another event at the same time and hope to broadcast that in some form, as well.

Wall Mart: Your source for cheap plastic crap...

Actually Wall Mart up here is actually quite nice, compared to the ones in the city. It's well kept up, the people are friendly the bathrooms are clean, and there's no gaping holes in the ceiling. I'm assuming that it's a privately owned franchise...

when i read it i got a White box with a red X in the corner and a message saying "Scary Thing" next to it.

also, i am new here today, i found this comic yesterday and have read it ALL in 4 hours. it has inspired me to make my own webcomic over summer break before i go back to college, thanks!
